Trauma Informed Therapy
A supportive, evidence-informed approach for adults experiencing burnout, overwhelm, dysregulation, or long-standing stress responses.
Overview
Trauma-informed therapy recognises that past adversity, prolonged stress, or overwhelming experiences can continue to shape how you respond to life — even when day-to-day functioning appears “fine” on the outside.
Rather than focusing only on symptoms, this approach prioritises emotional safety, nervous system regulation, and understanding patterns that developed for protection. Therapy is collaborative and paced to suit each individual’s capacity, readiness, and lived experience.
Who This Supports
This approach may be helpful if you:
- Feel chronically overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or burnt out
- Experience strong emotional reactions that feel difficult to manage
- Notice patterns of perfectionism, internal pressure, or self-criticism
- Have tried skills-based or short-term therapy with limited or short-lived change
- Live with ADHD or neurodivergence alongside ongoing stress responses
- Find rest and self-care difficult despite consistent effort
Many clients seek trauma-informed therapy when they are outwardly coping, yet inwardly depleted.
